Floris van der Rhee has had a varied and successful business career since graduating from the State University of Utrecht in 1980. He is currently Group Head of Business Lines for global trust and fiduciary services company Equity Trust, and is based at the Amsterdam office.
Floris worked as an Attorney at Law in The Netherlands before gaining his first offshore experience with the Curaçao International Trust Company. He then worked for Citco Nederland BV in the late 1980s, and subsequently Holland Intertrust Corporation before joining Equity Trust in 1994.
A board member at Equity Trust for 15 years, Floris has played a significant role in the company’s growth, which has included a number of key acquisitions. The staff, originally around 60, has grown to about 1,250 with offices in more than 30 countries.
